Be Joyful Always

1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (New King James Version)
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,"

Three decades ago much was written about praising God in all circumstances, which is fine in principle. Yet, many of these writings heaped guilt on those who were struggling to come to terms with death, loss, tragedy, disability, and heartache, as if these people were being unfaithful to the Lord and not living as real Christians because they were not joyous and happy and full of praise during these crises. We do not always rejoice in all situations. Jesus certainly did not in Matthew 26:38 (New King James Version) "Then He said to them,

It,s not always easy to be joyful . When theres a lost . People say time will heal all , Not so . The years past very very slow . I know what the Scriptures say about it But unless the Lord empowers the word though the Holy spirit Your life stays the same. I didn't mean knock your message . Because the word is all we have and it's true. -- May the lord bless all.------- Graw

Our hope in having everlasting life is in Jesus! We can be encouraged in knowing this mortal life corrupted with sins, sicknesses and diseases unto death will not last forever and by accepting Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior we know we have a mansion in glory where there is joy forever more! This mortal life is but a vapor that will soon disappear and be gone but our souls live on either in heaven or in the Lake of Fire! It is up to us to keep faith in God Amighty no matter the trials, tribulations, heartaches and sorrows! Lean on and trust in Jesus, for He cares for you and me! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Amen, Martin. Like Graw said, it is hard to be joyful in some of the situations that we face, but if we focus on God instead of our circumstance, we will find the Joy of the LORD. Sometimes we try and find our own joy in within ourselves, and it is then we start to become worldly. May God help us keep us focused on Him.
