beach and water detector questions

The current setup you have is excellent with the WOT Sovereign combination. I also run the WOT coil on my Explorer II and my Excalibur with excellent results. The question obviously is how much of a difference will you see between the WOT coil on your Sovereign and the Aquasearch when it comes to actual depth? The answer is really dependent on what your looking for. The fact that the Aquasearch is a PI machine is helpful right from the start in that it will be able to ignore much of the minerlization which limits the depth and sensitivity on other non PI machines and this does give you a noticable edge. The Aquasearch is also going to be more sensitive to small lower conductive targets like gold and this also give you an edge. It will not necesarily give you better depth on all coins. I know here in the states my Explorer with the wOT will hit a quarter deeper than the Aquasearch many times but a nickel on the other hand will be picked up by the Aquasearch much deeper than on the other machines.
So it really depends on what your looking for. I am and always have been partial to PI machines and I certainly love my Aquasearch just for the fact that it is so sensitive and in most cases will out perform other machines hands down. I also just received my new Deepstar3 and the depth and sensitivity on it is just unreal although I've only had it out twice for short runs but I can assure you that I had to get a bigger scoop.

I hope this gives you the insight you were looking for and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Stan,

Sorry for not replying before. I have many emails to answer and at the moment it is hard to keep up with things. One difficulty is that I don't do direct comparisons with other manufacturer's detectors. For me there is no point, as my technology stands or falls on its own merit. Obviously comparisons are made, but it is better to let users do this, rather than myself as designer and manufacturer. That way it is more objective.

Certainly the Aquasearch, and the Goldquest SS are designed with lower conductivity items in mind, as many rings and gold jewellery fall into this category. Lengthening the pulse delay also widens the TX pulse, so the detector can be adjusted to better suit higher conductivity coins if required.

Eric.

Hello Eric and Mike thanks for taking the time to reply about my questions about the aquasearch detector. I have heard of Eric
