Beach finds for 3 & 4 November!

Hello all. Went beach detecting over the weekend. It poured rain most of the time, but fortunately we had our wet weather gear with us! Had to put plastic bags over the control box and upper shaft of the Quattro so as to not get wet! We also enjoyed some time out fishing, and were able to take a few photos of a beautiful sunset, while fishing on a pier. That's me and my son in one of the photos. We'd caught a ling and a few trevally, fish, for those who don't know what they are! We also enjoyed some freshly caught scallops and a decent sized squid! Hoping everyone had a great weekend also.

Right on Golden!!! Beautiful sunset, nice finds, and folks: (the reason she put in the part of "in case any of you don't know about those fish",), is probably because I emailed her privatly asking her : "What the heck kind of fish are those, or are those even fish".?????Pretty embarrassing, since I was brought up living on the ocean. Marc Trainor.:|P.S. All in fun and trying to share some friendship, which is, to me at least, what part of this forum is about.

Marc, you done it again, made me laugh..!!! Hey, I didn't even know what a ling was in all honesty until hubby caught one! Never seen one before! But trevally I knew. Dying to get back to the beach again, the weekend was too short! Golden:twodetecting::minelab::wiggle::)

Oh, sure, that's easy for you to say. I'd probably have to run for the bathroom if I did that. I'm kidding, I know I'm just being a "wus" for not trying it yet. I at least need to try some abalone and maybe some clams or oysters. I love fish, but some of the "exotic" stuff like squid and clams, give me the heepy jeepys. :geek::(:O:|
