Beach Mode

I have been reading different ways to run the X 70 on beaches including FAQFAQ so my question is this what is the beach mode for (the umbrella).
Dose anyone ever use it.

From what I understand, the ground phase updates faster in the Beach mode, compared to regular tracking. That allows the user to go back and forth from wet and dry sand with a more stable ground balance. JMHO HH Randy

OK thanks Digger (Randy). So as long an I GB and turn the sensitivity down some I should by OK -- Right?

If you are in Tracking or Beach Tracking, you don't need to set the GB. The detector will do that for you "on the fly". If you lock in the GB, hunt the dry sand separate from the wet sand, by walking parallel to the beach and don't overdrive the Sensitivity. Honestly, since you have the capability to use Beach mode on the beach, I'd be using it and keep my sensitivity a bit higher. JMHO HH Randy
