I have a cold and of course being in 60 degree water in a wetsuit does not help, but I have work to do! Was still running the Excal 800, as the 1000 is still in Vegas. Joe DeMarco is monitoring my progress for me over there. Thanks Joe! On 12/08, I was in the water at 545A, into a 749A -0.6L and SE winds 5-10. I was all by myself and was soon joined by ACE 250 Bob, Spanky and JBuff. Was working in the mine this day and lead count was ripe for gold pickings, but to no avail. Total clad count was $2.48. Ended up with a copper junker ring and an interesting medallion. The medallion is a nickel, that has been lazer cut into a cross. Guess the guy has a religious affinity to nickels? Kinda strange. Baled at 1030A, as I was playing hookie from work. Heh-Heh!

On 12/09, Spanky and I agreed to meet at a specified surf area for a spin. I was in the water at 545A, into a 820A -0.6L and SE winds 5-10. Things were interesting and I was into coin patches. Soon a ring DID appear. It looked good and I just stuck it in the pouch and of course thanked the Lord for it, as usual. Upon closer inspection at home, it was discovered that it is a gold plated copper junker, w/CZs. DANG THE NITRO this year! We hung at this location till 815A and decided to move elsewhere. We were at the next location at 830A and there was another Excal hunter out there, I had never seen before. Spanky got to visit with him some and he had recovered a silver ring, at this location. I had $.31 and a junker necklace medallion and had to bale for church at 930A.

Today I should have slept in, but sometimes I just cannot help myself! I just gotta go! Was in the water this morning at 630A, into a 853A -0.7L and S winds at 5-10. I felt aweful and conditions didn't help me to feel any better. I moved again a little further down the beach and tried again and finally hit some coins. Well, I got $.07. Like I said, shoulda stayed in bed! Baled at 10A. Some days it just doesn't pay to get up! Sorry for the whine, ya'll got any cheese? No gold in a week, I'm starting to wilt!

That much work, you are due for a big strike!!! Hope ya feel better soon

G.H. hope you get to feeling better soon. I would rather fill ill out hunting than feel ill at work. So in my book you are treating the cold in the proper way. All you need now is a little touch of Gold to cure you of all illnesses. Nice pics. HH

Hang in there GH and get well. The dry spells just make victory taste that much sweeter. Who knows, maybe there's a Super Mario in your future...
