Just dropped in to say Howdy and Ole Flipper ain't dead. Been busy this summer with Vacation Bible School, Camping, Work and a new project. A few years ago I found a 1965 ladies Sears Spaceliner Bike at a Flea Market and Becky fell in love with it. Let me tell you that it was a Rust bucket and a cobbled up mess. I hate that I didn't take a before picture but believe me it was a mess. The guy I bought it from put it together enough to sell it. I figured I could do a little bit with it but never expected it to turn out the way it did. I tore it down completely, and with a lot of elbow grease, steel wool and sandpaper the chrome came back to life. I repainted the tank ( Tennessee Colors ) and replaced the tires, seat, hand grips and pedals. I also used High intensity LED lights and installed an electric horn to get it back into a more modern electronic state. I drew and Laser cut a snazzy new one of a kind Licence plate that is 18 gauge polished stainless steel that turned out great. Finished it tonight and gave it to Becky, she was more than pleased with the work and loves her ( New ) old Bike. Whats cool about it is that it's a 1965 model, the same year that she was born. It's a lot better than them Walmart deals from China and has a whole lot more style and class. Ended up with a finished grand total of $ 147.50 invested, which included the price of the Bike. For your viewing pleasure. The 1965 Ladies Sears Spaceliner Bicycle. Hope y'all have had a good Summer and hope to stop in more often......Flipper out
