Been off here for a

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
few days. I'm in North Carolina visiting my sister. Went out detecting today with a friend of my sister's step son. He is a good guy and we had a great time. We both got one Wheatie, mine being a 1933P. One of the better dates and it is in good shape too. Eyeballed an old green marble also probably 40's. We may go out again Thursday morning to another site. Welcome to any new people I may have missed showing up here on this great Forum. Stay warm and God Bless.

Mike----Good to meet you. I am new to the forum. Also new to the hobby of detecting. Look forward to reading your posts in the future. Doug

I detected in Ashville on my way home from a CW dig in SC.

Hello Mike (chgo area)....good to hear from you and glad you and your friend are out :detecting: It's coooold here (BRRRRR) Feels just like we are in the North Pole...Down in the teens with lots of cold wind blowing....gusting and freezing! Cliff and I had to go to the dr yesterday and then to get our prescriptions filled and purchase a few things from the store! Cliff was soooo coooold his finger tips to the first knuckle on his hand were blue! He doesn't have enough weight or oxygen to keep warm! Probably won't go out very little until it's warmer weather....just too hard on him! Hope you both find lots of nice goodies! Congrats on the 1933-P Wheatie! Prayers for safe hunting and traveling! God Bless!! Betty
