Been thinking about buying a new truck, not sure I can ..........

pull the trigger on it yet but it's come down to Ford and Toyota that I am looking at. I've been a Chevy man all my life, from my first car, a 55 Chevy 2 door with four on the floor and a 283 under the hood to the car that I drive today and have for the past 32 years, my 77 Chevy El Camino Classic

I like Fords for two reasons, one is they have a nice looking truck that is proven Ford tough and two they didn't take any bailout money

I like Toyota's because they just flat out last and are also a proven truck not to mention they also are a good looking truck ;)

Hope to have one or the other before this fall with any luck, one thing I notice is that trucks don't get the mileage that I hoped for but my heart is set on a new truck and with any luck will last me another 32 years and take me out the door if you know what I mean

Any feed back would be welcomed, thinking Ford F-150 4x4 or a Toyota Tacoma 4x4, just want to drive a new truck after working my butt off all these years and driving the same car for 32 years

I also have had all trucks and love FORD hands down
Toyota as well I had 3 toyota trucks and loved them and im sure the full size are a great ride
I have not driven I new toyota truck in 20 years :D but have Ford and Dodge and like I tell Denise FORD Hands down for me at this time.
Your reason about the bailout is also what they cal FORD TOUGH
I tip my hat to Ford and would buy another one before any other out there

Good luck on the buy and they are sweet now for sure but also pricey compared to 1977 :D :D

I pull a 36 foot 5th wheel trailer with no strain, just slowed down a few times in the Rocky Mts. of Colorado.

Been doing fine and I have been checking Millage the last 3-4 weeks; Getting a little over 18 1/2 Miles to the gallon ! I do drive Easy just like Old Man Elson Does ~!~
