Below the Tot Lots

I went to a few places today ( places I have been before) and was trying to detect the Tot Lots. I find that I can not even get close to poles with the 11 inch coil. Now I am finding targets under the Tot lots in the dirt. I had the machine tell me that there was a quarter under the coil , but did not expect to find it after going thru the Tot Lot material and then digging into the dirt. I am looking forward to going to places I have been before, but a little deeper.

Hi waterdog, I to have got some under that material and some I could not get out. The Deus will find them, when going around the poles lower your gain till it can almost touch the pole, you will still get good depth, try it you can get up to the pole. Good Luck

Turn the Sensitivity down to 40 and you'll get nice and close to those metal poles and still get the goods. It will also eliminate digging those below the tot lot fill.If you're looking for recent drops this will make hunting much more enjoyable.

Good advice ... I have hit the bottom with other detectors in tot lots.
The smaller 9" coil is ideal for this.
