best coil for teknetics t2

I don't know if there is a best. I think everyone has their preferences. When I am able to buy a T2, I'll probably get the Ultimate 13". That's just my preference. I don't want to fool with a 12x15.

I think the Ultimate 13 would be the choice, a lot lighter and a tighter pattern.....MO

Try NEL Coils they come in many sizes and they are out preforming most coils in the market.

For everyday use the Ultimate coil would be the best all round option, its more stable and slightly deeper than the stock coil, but the deepest one out of the 2 by a fair margin is the SEF15x12 but that coil i would suggest only being used on pasture or reic hunting, its not only much deeper than the stock coil but its reasonably good pinpointing,it of course has some down sides as well it heavier but not over heavy if that makes sense.I mainly use my big SEF when i am on pasture and wish too gain extra depth, the thing that most suprised me with this coil is usually when using a bigger coil you gain depth on larger target but dont tend to pick up smallish coins. This is not the case with this large SEF.

I am afraid no one coil does it all,but for every day use the Ultimate would be the best option,if you do deep Relic/Hoard hunting then the SEF is the best option, and a smaller coil would in theory cover most needs with a T2.

The T2 is my favourite machine, but not been out much of late as my wife is seriously ill,but you certainly wont regret buying one of these machines, only thing that lets it down is the stock coil, build quality and reliabilty has all been the biggest problem with the T2 over here in the UK.

I have used the stock coil on my T" SE you a few years now. No problems. SEF coils only give marginal depth I have tested them. The Nel sharpshooter is a very good one for the UK particularly in stuble or coarse grass not much loss in depth. I often use it as my stock coil on my Ancient sites. Very good on mineralised ground the SEF coils not good there.
