Best find of 2014?

What was your best find of 2014? Mine was a CW musket ball on my acreage that I would have never guessed there. Only been in this hobby since June so I have not had time to amass finds like you guys!

1886s Gold half eagle coin.......

Also my best find of my life other than the wife if she reads this.....

To be honest, the best find I make each year is the time I find to tune out everything else . . . . . can't tell you how many times I have been down or overloaded and after 30 minutes swinging a detector, regardless of what I find it seems like I've had a quick mental recharge . . . . .

And as far as 2014, my best find came on July 5th when I said "I do" to my true soul mate who has helped me put a lot into perspective in a short period of time . . . . . and she enjoys metal detecting to boot :clapping:

Awesome guys. And congrats Andy! A good woman is priceless!

The value of a find is determined by the individual finding the item.. A true treasure is one that you hold close to your heart. I found that treasure on July 5th of 2014 when I married the man that brings me the best treasure a woman can have..... the love of a good man. Metal detecting was made even more exciting by being able to share my time in the field with someone I love and respect. Having one of the most knowledgeable and respected detectorist to do it with makes me one of the luckiest women in the field.

I have to agree with Andy... headphones on and swing a detector makes every problem seem to fly out of one's head...

Best of luck to everyone that you will find your greatest treasures with metal detecting this year!!! :twodetecting:
