Better?

Do you guys and gals have better results using the cursor screen on the SE? I have a highly trashy old 1800s lawn, have been hunting in Digital Mode and have found several pennies. In order to hunt down the silver I recently started trying All Metal, Max Variability, Gain at 6, tonight I had the 5 inch eXcelertor coil on at manual 27 Sensitivity, Ferrous. I had what I thought was a good signal at 03 / 30 and dug a deep rusty nail. I do get the low ferrous sounds when it's a high ferrous content but I can also get a 31 /31 readout and it will be high pitched like silver.

What's the deal?

I have an XS and an SE and I hunt with the smart screen and all metal (no black on screen).

The digital (numbers) for me would just be a final check before digging if I wanted to use it.

I find the picture easier to follow the jumping around. Once you start getting deep signals, where each sweep gives a different number, especially when falsing, the cursor seems way easier to follow for me. Just remember once you get beyond 8 or 9 inches deep you id is not going to be very accurate, but the chances of pull tabs and bottle caps being that deep go down to, except when you're at the beach. There are some parks where everything that sounds off at that depth was either a nail or a very old coin. So I dug everything that even suggested a high tone and found several Indians that way and allot of rusted square nails.
