BFO Pinpointer

The BFO (full size) metal detectors actually could be used as a pinpointer as they could detect in non-motion, full time.

A couple of us in the eighties and nineties used the larger Garrett BFO models with the smaller 3" coil for pinpointing, we hip mounted the BFO control box using the smaller 3" coil for pinpointing.

We were in heaven back then with this setup, not deep compared with today's pinponters but back then nothing touched It's depth.
