Bigfoot on Modified IDX Pro

Anyone ever slap a Bigfoot coil on a modified IDX Pro detector? I was wondering about compatibility first of all. I assume that the same frequency of my other 6.5 detectors is all that is needed. Secondly, I was wondering the procedure for ground balancing. And last I assume I would get better results in the wet sand. True or not? The reason I'm asking is that I just purchased a modified IDX Pro. When it arrives I was going to slap some coils on it and play around in my yard.

the IDX Pro to be at it's best with a 5.3 BullsEye or similar coil. My #2 pick, for general hunting, would be a thin-profile 8" coil, like the ProScan 800 or Royal 800, etc.

Since you have an assortment of coils I am sure others will find your front yard experiences of interest. I seriously doubt they will include any praises of the BigFoot coil with the IDX pro.

Yes, the IDX Pro can use all of White's coils for the 6.59 kHz models that accept the BlueMax series and compatible coils.

Thank You Monte. I always like to read your posts. I respect your views very much. We see eye to eye on the 6T. I hope I like this modified IDX Pro as much as you like yours.

The BIGFOOT is 18 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide (shaped like a loaf of french bread) It is designed to work on White
