I just bought the Minelab Explorer XS, after 5 days I have fond a lot! 2 nice rings-one nice diamond-gold 1 gold-platinum diamond ring with nice baggets. Is this a good beach unit and is the coil OEM ok in the water-what about the aftermarket coils waterproof?

The OEM coil is concidered waterproof by Minelab
but is not a "filled" or "Potted" type coil,so it can leak.Most of the other coils for the Explorer are "potted" such as:
SUNRAY 8"and 12"(5" is not "potted" and is not waterproof at this time).
MINELAB 8"(7.25" diameter)
COILTEC 15"(10"x5" is not "potted" and is not waterproof at this time)
