Biloxi MS Beach Search Help Needed

I will be going to Biloxi, MS on July 21, 2012 for the weekend for our 40th wedding anninversary and want to try my luck at detecting the beaches there. Can anyone give me any information on where to hunt on the beaches and any laws that I might need to know when doing so.I will be using the Fisher F2 detector that I just purchased in January 2012. Will this detector work well on the beach? Any advice would be appreciated.
