Blast from the past. Everyone noticed how little Charley had changed over the years .... well about ...

.... 40 years ago, I owned a little Honda 125 motorcycle and found this cute little biker babe at college ... ended up marrying her. She came into the store I was working at the time and bought something and paid by check. I made her write everything I could think of on the check so I could find her again later at the college.

The first time I met her mother was after riding about 175 miles from Milledgeville to Toccoa GA on my cycle in the hot Georgia summer to see Nancy and meet her mother. I had met her dad about a year before when he visited Nancy at the college we attended. When I met him I was all preppy looking / haircut / cleanly shaved, button down shirt collar, slacks, shined shoes, etc.

Driving up to Toccoa that day I had shoulder length hair, a mustache, aviator sunglasses, cut off jeans shorts, sneakers, and a sleeveless Jethro Tull T-shirt ... was hot & sweaty and covered with road grit.

Her mother "reservedly" shook my hand, told me she was glad to have finally met me then went inside leaving Nancy and her dad outside with me talking about the trip as I unstrapped my stuff from the bike. Found out later her dad then went looking for her mom only to find her sobbing on the back porch about the poor choice of boy friend Nancy had obviously made.

This photo was taken shortly after we were married. Her dad had bought my mororcycle after I had bought a car when still in college.
