Blue tooth head phones

Not to give them a plug, but. Has anybody purchased a set of the wireless blue tooth headphones from Kelly Co? I would like to know if there is still the bad lag from machine to the head set?

Hello Jim,
STop all that jumping!!! :)

I'm glad to see you post this as I too am considering the new wireless headphones. I absolutely detest how Minelab placed the earphone jack at the backend of the SE. I wonder, "Do the manufacturers even use their own products or test them in the field?" Have to wonder????

Yes, just got them today, set them up on my ExII and they worked great! I noticed no lag. The headphones are super lightweight. So nice to get rid of the cord, the only thing I will probably do is see if Radio Shack has a 90 degree angle phono plug to clean things up a bit there.

These seem very much like these ones:

So your getting them at a really good price.

Had a pair for the last year and a bit. Pretty good for the Explorer.

BUT

In my honest opinion I have realised that wired headphones are the BEST......no extra batteries to mess around with and you don't have worry to much as to where you mount the transmitter part so that it does not end up broken.

You need to get some sort of extender cable to mount the transmitter unit in a safer location than directly out the back of the Explorer socket.

I also used the creative brand of blue tooth headphones and their transmitter unit has a long connection tail. Still need to adapt from the 3.5mm jack to 6mm jack, on EX XS2 and EX SE but at least the transmitter was not extending out of the back in a precarious situation that will break the transmitter apart when you accidently brush it against something too hard.

It can happen unless the unit gets somehow protected or is mouted out of harms way.

Search ebay for "macally bluewave" these are the exact same headphones and at great prices.

No none of these are my auctions, I just found them while bopping around ebay last night.

:clapping:I use blue tooth head phones and find they give a louder crisper response to small targets like milled and hammered treasures....
Superb totally superb - the best you can get. :clapping:clapping

I was wondering if anyone has had any interference problems with the transmitter of the Bluetooth headphones?

Thanks

If anyone could tell me how to reduce my photo to 120KB I could show you my hookup. I used a 90 degree phono plug adapter{Radio Shack, 1/4" to 1/8"} out of the EXII's phono plug jack, and then purchased a fine{thin} 12 inch patch cord{Radio Shack} to hook the 90 plug to the transmitter box. Attached the transmitter box on top of the battery housing shaft,{velcro provided} just below where you grasp the handle, totally out of the way, but still protected. The "thick" 3 foot patch cord that Kellyco provides was way to long for my purposes, and it was also emitting a high pitch noise in the headphones. I think it is a very clean installation. I haven't snagged any part of it on anything yet. I can finally set my detector down without taking my headphones off or having them pulled them off my head!
