Bluetooth Question

My Ace 250 came with headphones, no volume control on head phones... Loud to say the least. I have a set of Motorola Bluetooth headphones. I had read a thread on here about using Bluetooth with MD'ing. I was wondering if anyone knew where to purchase an inexpensive Bluetooth transmitter I can plug into my Ace? Any input appreciated!

The two Bluetooth units I tried had a signal lag. I didn't like it at all. The 33-1253 headsets at Radio Shack have worked the best for me. No lag and good audio. $60.00 bucks.

No need for headphones, I have them already, bluetooth even, Motorola. Looking for a transmitter unit, plugs into the Detector and sends the audio to my headphones. Any ideas?

I'm just letting you know that I had a Motorola and there was a lag in the signal. I've been down the Bluetooth road twice. I'm not saying there isn't one out there that works. Maybe there's a good one? I do know that the RS headset has no lag.

OK, so my headphones are not the best, any ideas on the transmitter unit? I can always get some different headphones, just looking for an audio transmitter, Just to test it and go from there.

Your missing my point. I'm not saying your headphones are bad. Listening to music you will not even know there is a lag in the signal. But when you sweep your coil over a coin and it beeps 8 inches from the target - well that's not good. That's all I'm saying. Just do a search on Bluetooth transmitters.

Sandcrab: I bought a trasnmitter from Radio Shack (170-0966). Brand name CARDO. I have a few different headphone receivers and I don't to seem to have any problems with lag. I Got an ear bluetooth from Verizon with my last cell phone and it seems to me a workable combination for me,.The price I paid for the Cardo was $29.95.....Ged Dirty.....DirtyDon

Thanks Don, I looked at Radio Shack and they didn't have it in stock, I am looking at one from eBay, it is about $29.00 with shipping. If it works I will be happy if not oh well, I will plug it into my entertainment center and listen to TV late at night when everyone is asleep. I will see about the time lag. I have been thinking about adding the volume control mod to my Ace anyway. Thanks for the advise guys happy digging, raining here in the Sunshine State, Liquid Sunshine...
