"Booped" a neat bracelet...

slingshot

Running my Ace in my favorite mode-Relics. Got down in my competition mode with the coil flashing at somewhat faster than usual speeds-and since I pinpoint in motion I was flyin'. Had five tot lots in area schools to hit before work. Found over $6 in coins and got the "boop" sound for very small foil, etc. but this time it was wider and when I slowed down and rechecked it, it changed to the standard tone. Didn't see any markings anywhere, so I'll have to have it checked-probably not real gold. Here's my take on those who have quirks with the Ace: I have used other tone detectors and sometimes tiny pieces of metal will cause a high tone, but will change when the coil is centered and slowed down on the target. Likewise on the Ace. Here's the problem-the Ace doesn't have a quick high tone-it has the dreaded "bong" and those not understanding the way detectors react to these "iffy" targets have to listen to a loud "bong" instead of a quick high tone-THAT IS the Ace's high tone! So when you learn to slow down or raise the coil or center it on the target, you realize that the Ace is doing what other detectors do-just noisier.

looks like you had a great hunt there slingshot hope it turns to be gold for ya.
sometimes those little big high tones turn out to be very small silver i"v had a few real small hoop earrings start with a high tone then bounce all over the place. i use pin point all the time as it helps me to not dig coke cans & the like.

Thanks, guys. Turns out the clasps were still there-the little hook ring just came undone. No markings on them, so probably not real. The neat thing is that it has "I LOVE YOU" in raised "gold" letters along the bracelet. Yeah, I find a lot of teeny stuff so there is usually something there when it sounds off. Most of the time it's simple to ID and recover the targets, but other times you have to slow down and see what's causing the tones. In the relics mode, the pencil erasers:ranting: are the usual culprit at schools-the teeniest crushed ones-can't hardly find them sometimes.

describes the Ace 250!

Hey, David! What does that Golden sound like when you hit one of those:veryangry: stupid little pencil erasers?

"Booobeep"... since you asked.
