Bottle Dump

Got permission to hunt a 1930's - 1960's "land fill". I was told there was "nothing but ole' junk out there. Excellent! Junk is great! I went with a buddy of mine from work and we hoofed out about a 1/2 mile into the woods. It took a little while to hone in on the area where everything was thrown off an embankment. The other thing we noticed was that it seemed all we dug in one particular area were all types of medicine bottles. My buddy dug a ton and so did I. We did some research on the property and it seems a Dr. owned the property prior to the new owners purchasing it.

I'm still in the process of cleaning and researching, but some of the bottles I've found are:

Castoria, HAR H Fletcher (Age ?)
Pennex bottle (P in keystone) Wightman bottle & Glass Co. 1930-51
Brown Capudine Bottle ( Age ?)
RC Cola (Embossed) (Age ?)
Tru Ade Cola (Age ?)
Mitchell Brothers LTD. (Glascow Scotland) (Age ?)
Chug A Mug Embossed (Age = 1960's)
A white small bottle with : Woodbury 57 on the bottom
Spider Web Bottle (It's a flask style bottle without any markings on the bottom and I can't seem to find ANYTHING so far concerning this bottle so if anyone recognizes it please give me a shout)

It was a great day to dig and I'm Blessed to have been able to go out today! HH!

That is a nice collection. I have never seen a spider web bottle before, that is neat.

Congrats on the finds! Bottle digging is one of my favorite things to do (I have many things I enjoy). I, too, have a bottle with the spider webs on it. When I get a chance, and remember to do it, I will dig it out and see if there's anything on it. I can't remember if there is or not. I have a bunch of bottles I've dug and many of them are on a set of shelves in my office. When new people come in they like to look them over. Most of the ones I have displayed are some very old embossed medicine bottles. They are the old cork top bottles, not the ones that had screw on tops, although I do have a lot of those, too.
