Bought a New Detector Last Weekend

TURNMASTER

Active member
I'm not keeping it though. I picked it up reasonable to barter off to the kid down the street. He is going to pick up dog doodoo for the next 12 weeks. Its not a great machine but it does work properly and only had a couple hours on it. Its a BH Quickdraw. Some people love the BH machines. I figured for a kid who is into the coins and MDing it would be a great deal. For me... a better deal. It cost me 75 bucks and only takes the young man 40 min to do the yard. That ends being a pretty good wage for a 6th grader. This boy was using a neighbors spare machine to hunt with once in a while. That neighbor moved away, I found out when I was talking with the boys parents. So it works out well and the boy is stoked.

Pretty Cool

Congrats on doing good for each other and blessings will return up to a 100 fold! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thats part of the Idea Mike Chgo. He is adopted into a family with several adopted kids. The father is a paster I have heard, have not met him though. I figure the good will is good for the whole groupe to see. The work to gain the goal is good for the boy to do and the others to witness. I have met a couple of the older kids and they are good kids. Thanks Ma B and Mike MI

So...When someone ask's him how much he paid for the detector, he can say "Forty pieces of __________"(not silver). ha! Sounds like a good deal for you both. I'm sure this young man will be delighted and who knows what he will find?

I have found some good things with a bounty hunter , but I use a minelab now.

Sounds like a fair deal... I guess. Of course I don't know what the going rate is for a pooper-picker-upper. As a country gal, the whole thing sounds a little foreign to me. I mean I know that city folk often walk around with a pooper scooper when they walk their dog, and I get that one, but what's up with hiring someone to pick it up outta the yard... for 40 minutes? I'm guessing that you have a small yard and just want it removed? Where I live, most yards are HUGE. We own 98 acres that we live on and about 5 acres of that is in yard that has to be cut. We have dogs, but don't have to worry about picking up after them. The other land we own (where the story of the Lutes murders took place) is in the middle of nowhere - wilderness - and we SURE don't have to worry about anything over there! Guess I just learned something new!
