I was barely into my flight when I spotted an ACE detector sort of camouflaged in a canola field at 27,000 ft. Headed to the Great Lakes on the 26th of July. Got an earring and some loot. Spent most of the time with family and friends. Stayed about a week, then back to Edmonton for some more water and land hunts.

Here's pretty well all the good stuff, minus the thousands of bottle caps, pull tabs, nails etc.

My total loot count ended up like this.

And my jewellery totals looked like this.

:usaflag:Looks like you had a good time...congrats !

You make me just a tad bit jellous John. I'd love to get out and detect that often, but sadly, unable. You sure got a good amount of coins.

Glad you enjoyed your vacation and thanks for sharing the photos of what you found. It really makes me want to try and metal detect some, but if I can't metal detect, I can sure enjoy looking at what other members of this forum find and that makes me feel good. Those rings are nice, but that broach is really pretty.
Hopefully I can start metal detecting some in the next month or so, but my MD wants me to wear these braces on my knees for a month or so and refrain from walking very far until they get some more xrays. Just got my last round of shots in my knees yesterday and hope that this and the braces will keep me from having knee surgery. Thanks for sharing your finds. It really helps people who are shutins and can't get out of the house much. Gives us something to look forward to. I'm not wasting my time tho. I am working on some research and contacting people at places I want to metal detect this fall. So, in a way I am being productive and that means a lot to me.

You did well in your finds !
Plenty of rings and good amount of clad
