New member
Bounty Hunter has a new detector on the market and Cabelas is the only store that sells them. It is called Platinum
I have one coming and should have it by wednesday next week.

I will post some pics here and on my www.fisherf75.com page and give you some first impressions by friday next week.

The Fisher F2 is the next detector that will be tested vs the Ace 250 vs the Prizm II and the Tesoro Silver.

Thanks for watching findmall,

Andy,NM

can't wait to get the lowdown from you on the platinum. just wonder how it will compare to the F4.

A lot of money for a detector i have only seen in a picture. But that's the price of being a detectorholic.
I'll let you know how it does for the money.

I don't understand why any new detector would be first introduced in a large sporting good store instead of a metal detecting store. Is it a Walmart type detector?

A good question. Maybe FT has to honor some kind of agreement with Cabelas about
them getting dibs on FT's next new detector. Plus, FT's dealer network is spotty at best, anyway.
At any rate, FT's marketing ploys suck. Let's hope they do better with the Fisher offerings.
A sporting goods store is just not the best place to sell detectors, but I guess they just
don't know any better, in light of their sparse number of serious dealers.:ban:
