Hi, All:
I rehunting an old Winter cavalry camp that I've pounded for the past five years. I used an MXT for two years, then rehunted it with an original F 75 for two years. Camp was considered "hunted out" five years ago. I've found over 700 bullets. Over 400 of them have been .36 cal. "teardrops". Now, I'm rehunting the camp with the new F 75 LTD in BP mode in all metal, sens. at 80, listening for deep signals that sound like bullets. I did the same with my old F 75. The finds are scarce, but I am finding items for the most part that are too deep for the original F 75. I check each signal before I dig it to see how it sounds in the DE mode. I can still hear the signals, but they are weak. The BP really makes the difference. I'm averaging about one bullet every hour I hunt. The best signal I got today was the melted lead in the center of the picture. I was disappointed when I dug it, but when I cleaned it with warm water and a toothbrush, I was surpised to find in the center what appears to be a Sharps raised ring bullet. To the right of it is definetly a teardrop. I also found a tent grommet, the back of a cuff button and part of the locking tab for a shoulder scales. I'm only finding small calibre bullets. I'm confident I wouldn't be finding very much at all if it weren't for the BP mode. It really works.
Thanks for looking and keep on diggin'
