posting this for a friend. she found it in her back yard. It is pretty heavy. There is no rust and no seams so maybe brass or bronze? It is open on the bottom. At first it looks like a bell but she said there is no place for a clapper. It has images of crosses (pagan?), a dog, whale, deer and a hog. Any ideas?
