We're in for a long night.

Brian had another bout of nausea and is just plain miserable. The pain in his face seems to be worse this evening.
He can't lay flat due to the tumors in his throat so he raises the head of his bed to the highest point possible where he can still lean back against it and sleep.
Tonight he wrote me that when he lays back added pressure in his face causes extreme pain and he can't sleep. I offered to get into the bed next to him and hold him, all night if need be, so that he could get some much needed rest. But, he refused. I'll sleep on the air mattress next to his bed in case he needs some assistance.
Right now he is asleep sitting straight up but when his head falls to one side he'll wake up. It will be a long night.

All things considered, he had a great night. He was finally able to lean back against the bed, I think exhaustion overcame the pain, to sleep. He slept most of the night only waking me 3 or 4 times.
This morning at 7 he had another bout of nausea. All his vital signs including his temperature are normal.
We may have to contact home/health again today if he can't hold down his foods and meds.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!
God bless,
