Back to normal.

We took Brian to his ENT this afternoon to have his normal trach put in. We were hesitant to try again without a healthcare professional nearby. The doctor had Brian lean back in the chair and simply inserted the trach with absolutely no problem at all. We had feared the stoma would have shrunk to the size of the smaller trach making it difficult to insert, but that was not the case.
Thank you Lord!
She suggested we look into getting a new inner-cannula trach (spelling?). This type of trach stays in permenantly and has an inner trach that is easy to remove and insert. In fact, Brian would be able to do it himself! We have an appointment set up in a couple of weeks.
We never did get to see a movie. Brian wrote me a note this evening that he never will get to see another movie because he probably won't be able to stay awake long enough.
It's 1:30am as I write this. My nights and days are mixed up now. Tonight after we got home from the doctor and had supper I took a nap from 7:30 to 10:30 this evening. Carol took care of Brian so that I could get 3 hours of uninterupted, blissful sleep!! Thank you Carol!
Brian is feeling much, much better this evening.
Thanks for your prayers!
