Pray for pain relief...
Posted 1 day ago
...Brian has periods of intense pain with the femur fracture and is really, really miserable. Add this pain to his facial pain and it looks like we have a long night ahead of us.
Also, Carol and I could use a strong dose of sanity if anyone has some to spare...
Thanks for being here for us!!

...and Brian's doctor said he feels like there wouldn't be enough benefit from installing new, larger rods at this time. He also said that the immobilizing brace we are using should be all we to do at this point. This is based on the x-rays taken by the portable x-ray machine.
I felt sorry for the x-ray technician because she was trying very hard to get all the "looks" that were required but Brian was in just too much pain for one of them. But she did a super job under the circumstances!
We are going to watch him for a few days and keep him as comfortable as possible. Brian's hospice nurse will monitor him closely too. They said we can call anytime and they would work Brian in if we felt he needed to be seen next week.
Brian seems to be feeling a little better this afternoon.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
