I got this this morning.....

[A 5K day
Posted 1 hour ago
The bleeding seems to have stopped, both in his trach and from his throat. He still complains of dizziness and says he feels weak which are indicators of low blood levels (and schoolitis). But, he seems to feel stronger this morning regardless of not getting much sleep last night.

Last night, while watching the movie Fireproof (for the 2nd time), he pedaled 5k's on the excercise bike. I set a goal for him to get to a total of 10k's so maybe tonight we'll watch two movies!!

Wednesday, we go back to Nashville to schedule a tumor reduction surgery.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!

Here we go again...
Posted Feb 5, 2009 8:16am
...this morning Brian vomited just as we pulled up to his school. Luckily, I had brought along a bucket, just in case, because he had complained about feeling sick at his stomach before we left for school.

There was some blood in it, not enough to be overly alarmed, but enough to warrant keeping him home from school and watching him. I have a call in to Vanderbilt and am presently waiting to hear from the doctor. They don't have the ability to seal the bleeders here in town so we may end up going to Nashville today. Fortunately, his blood levels were excellent when I took him to his pediatrician Tuesday.

I'll keep you posted...

Doug
