Todays doctor visit.

This morning I called our plastic surgeon in Nashville and talked to his nurse. The doctor is out of town until next Wednesday but she said she would have him call when he returns.
We took Brian to his pediatrician this afternoon to have his in grown big toenail removed. The doctor did a great job with minimal pain and removed the in grown section without having to remove the whole nail. He did say it looked like the rest of the nail would probably fall off on its own eventually. We go back tomorrow for the follow up visit.
He also increased Brian's pain meds, giving him a reduced dose more frequently with the hope that the pain can be maintained at a tolerable level. So far, it seems to be working. He is also going to try to find a local pediatric pain management team to manage Brian's pain regiment.
Last night was another rough one and I anticipate tonight will be too with the added pain of his toe. The numbness is wearing off and the pain isn't severe, but it does hurt when he moves his foot.
