A lot of pain

Brian is experiencing intense pain at the moment. He keeps pushing the button for more pain meds and getting frustrated when it doesn't beep. He motioned that his whole face hurts. Today should be the most painful day as they ease Brian out of full sedation. We don't want to leave ICU until he is ready but we are looking forward to getting a regular room.

Eye opening experience.

Just now, Brian managed to open his eyes enough to see Carol and I. He is still in a lot of pain but was thrilled that he could still see!

We are waiting for the plastic surgeon to come in and then go eat some breakfast.
