Tumor growth.
Posted 6 hours ago
As expected, the tumors have already grown back to their pre-surgery size. His eyes still seem OK so far, but unfortunately, it is only a matter of time...
The surgeon felt the swelling under his eye was due to infection and we'll keep Brian on another round of antibiotics. They trimmed the stitch back as close to the skin as possible.
The important thing is to preserve his eyesight but I'm sure Brian will resist having another surgery in the future.
Yesterday he was begging us for pain meds much more often. He said it felt like a wide band was wrapped around his face and someone kept winding it tighter and tighter putting pressure on his tumors all across his face and in his jaws. He said it felt like his face was on fire.
This morning, Brian said he slept better than he has in a long time! Yesterday, because we were on the road all day Brian didn't take a nap so he was worn out by the time we got home.
So far today the pain doesn't seem to be as bad.
Please pray for the tumors to shrink and help relieve his pain.
We still believe in miracles!!
Thank you,
DOug, Carol and Brian
