Bridal Rosette

I found this Bridal Rosette in a city park that at one time was a part of an old Southern Plantation.

I was wondering if there was any way to date something like this.

Have not been able to find any way that I can date the item. Talked to a small time dealer who is an avid relic hunter and he said he thought that it was WW-I. I can not find any information that indicates that the US Calvary would have been on the property during WW-I. Oh well I thought that it was a neat find. It made me happy to see it come out of the dirt.

I have found one of those also. It is a rossette off of ww1 mule blinders. Probably purchased after the war as military surplus.
