Bring back my compadre

I bought a new compadre in late 2018 and the coil died in early 2019. It’s been boxed up to be sent to Tesoro but with the way they were at the time I never shipped it.
it has the 8” brown doughnut coil. Would I be best off to get another 8” and solder it on? As to not affect the preset ground balance? I kinda want to bring it back and use it again. It’s got a great fun factor. I found a lot of cool stuff with it in the short time it was working. Beautiful audio.

Yes it’s the coil. It will false badly when flexing the mounting ears. I think I broke it internally while trying to get that absolute bear of a coil cover off for cleaning.
