British Officer's Spoon?

Erik in NJ

New member
The site this came from had seen some Rev. War action. I dug this partial spoon/fork and is about the oldest I've recovered. Not sure if it was used during the war by either the Brits (more likely I believe) or Washington's troops or even prior to the war, but it's OLD peweter as far as I can tell and very fragile and I'm happy to be be the newcaretaker of it! I love pulling this OLD stuff out of the ground!

If I would have found something like that over here, I would have probably called it a spatula for flipping pancakes. :heh:

Looks really old. Nice recovery, Erik!
