Here is a number of finds found at a typical English village location on different days I might add.All found with my T2 SE
We have two silver Love tokens (crooked sixpences) two other silver sixpences one Victorian the other George 5th. Then a copper Halfpenny of George 3rd made into a love token. These were given by the man to a girl who then kept it in her purse. Then the idea was when she touched it she thought of the buy or man. There are two small medieval leather studs circa 14th century A.D.plus a small buckle from the same period. An Edwardian silver brooch circa 1910 or or so ANNIE Ne button decorated with a fox head then a Victorian Military button. Then two eyes only finds a Medieval pottery shard and a flint scraper this from pre history.

Wonderful finds....and thanks for the explanation of the love tokens....I found several old coins (in Aus) that have been bent, and did not associate it with anything...now I can consider them more closely.....thanks. HH

The use of the Love Tokens i.e. bent coins would be the same in Australia as the custom would have come from England.
