Hiall,
wondering what the best introduction / tag lines might be for my metal detectors buisness cards?
I think if you give the prospective land owner a card with your personal info, it help to assure that you are on the up & up.
any ideas for this newbie?
WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET??? thanks...jeff, also in pa

Interesting Idea though
Have your information on the front and a simple fill in the blank permision statement on the back?

Sounds like a great idea. I'd put Name, "Metal Detectorist",cell phone number and some tag line. Like "Treasure hunters bury theirs deeper." Also maybe city and state but not my full address.

Gonna do just that. Think honesty is the best policy. I think when you show people you have nothing to hide, they appreciate that. Case and point. I inquired with the Desoto National Forest, about detecting in an area where I knew there was some historic interest. I gave them my personal info,(They are going to get it anyway) Not only did they e-mail me back with places to go, but sent me a hand drawn map, highlighted it and marked the spot. Then incouraged me to ask for help if they could further assist me, gave me a phone contact, aname to ask for, and invited me to visit them. They did the research for me by consulting the state archaeologist. Thought that was above and beyoud the call of service.

HI all -
Just browsing thru the forum, and thought I would put in my couple of pennies... My card has " A modern day treasure hunter". Also, I always tell the owner of a lost item that I work for free. I will return your item at no charge to you, but I get to keep everything else I find. That always works, and I get a lot of word of mouth advertising that way. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> And don't forgrt to tell them that you will remove any trash you find, plus always cover your holes (duh!) Good luck - JH
