Bullet found need some info

I found a shot bullet today 5 inches deep in South East Nebraska. It is .36 caliber .655 inches long weighs 9.3 g which is I believe 144 grains. It has two rings on it you know like a three ring Miniball but with only two. It is solid lead no jacket with a round tip. I will try to upload pictures tomorrow. I was wondering if anybody could tell me what rifle or pistol shot this particular round and from what time frame it came from. Thank you.

Is the base flat? Are there serrations in the grooves? If so, it's post Civil War.

No the base is not flat it is not exactly conical more or less for the first 1/8" up is is flat walls (like looking into a pipe) after that it is pretty much conical. In the grooves it looks like the edge of a quarter or dime I guess you could call them serrations.

If there are grooves cut in the rings (like the edge of a dime) then it is post civil war era lead. cch
