Found this bullet at a skirmish site...its 1.12 inches tall and .52 around...ive never found one like it...anybody have any info on it?

Its looks like a carved Enfield variant. From the picture, It appears that the rings were possibly 'carved' by a soldier after the bullet came out of the mold ... ???? cch.

Maybe so. Its hard to tell from pics. neat bullet regardless. cch

Surprisingly, I found a bullet this morning that resembles the one you have pictured.
Mine measures 1"x 17/32" as best as I can measure it.
I looked the one I have up in a book I have and believe it is listed as a .54 cal. RF (rifled musket) of Southern manufacture.
I first thought the one I found was an enfield until I got home and cleaned it up and saw the 3 rings or grooves just like the one you have.
Here is a photo of the one I found.
