Bust Dime

I went out yesterday and I found a first for me. I haven't even found a Seated One yet!!. I was really surprised to have this pop out of the ground at 8 inches. You can bet I'll be making a trip back real soon.

I found an 1827 bust dime before I found my first seated also!!! :D About the same condition also. I screamed like a girl when I realized what it was! :)

My friend was hunting with his grandpa one time and his grandpa came up to him with a funny look on his face. He asked what he found. He said I don't know but it has a boot on it. Yep, bust dime, he thought liberty was a boot. :)

Finding one of those is definitely on my wish list for this year!

 
That dime is worth more than book value. He just won a dinner on me. Tom and I hunt together a lot and we had bets on the first Barber, Seated and so on for the year. I beat him to the Barber by one day and now he passed the Seated and really took me out of the bet.Great job Tom you hunt hard and often and you deserve it.
