Not a button hunter but it read deep and as a quarter, with the cross hairs upper right corner. No clue as to what kinda button this is ??? any help??? also picked up this 1901 Barber at 9" on it's side. This is the F I R S T Barber for me and was worth the cold day at the park.

A WWI collar insignia Company B infantry. Great find.
 
Nah...The only thing I'm swingin in the snow is a snow shovel.

I can't even get all the dates from em.I heated the oil to (HOT) <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> droped em in and let em sit fer awhile(1/2 hr.)then shook em in a glass fulla ice...for a spell.
Put em back inta the olive oil till next week or sooooo I guess and try again with the ice <img src="/metal/html/sad.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":sad">
Shoulda taken some befor pictures so I could show em after treatment

but, if they're really corroded and pitted, olive oil is probably best in my opinion.
