A buddy of mine dug this button along with Spanish silver while detecting a field in Northern Ohio using his EX II. Any ideas on what it is or age?

Man that is SWEET !!! Hope some one can tell us us about it ......

Yup, sweet button!

I don't know the specific button either but the eagle looks like late 18th-century or early 19th-century and I presume the anchor has something to do with navy.

Nice find!

I have no references infront of me but I think it might be war of 1812 period navy button. I dug one just like it about 5 years ago in Ct.
