any ideas???...I was thinking Texas but not too sure.
Found at a CW Camp along the retreat from Gettysburg..
Any help would be great.

I'm no expert for darn sure. But I have seen similar buttons in relic books and on relic sites like this one....... atributed to Texas and Mississippi. I've been wondering about Mississippi's use of the star, so maybe someone that really knows can ID your button, and explain why Mississippi is also associated with the Star. Good find there!

A quick check of Tice's Button book under Mississippi and Texas buttons, I didn't see anything that exactly matched..... but it is 5:50am here!

Im almost positive its a texas staff button, and according to the civilwar price guide its worth in exavated condition at 900.00+ remember thats the high,:thumbup: great find!!
