Found this cuff button in a field last week,there's no back on it and it makes it easier to see the detail on it.
All of these pics are of the inside of it.
Does anyone know if it is From the civil war era?
 
Looks like a New York State Seal button. Would know more if it had a back mark. Probably civil war though.
