C400 Deepscan

I have a Deepscan C400 PI which I bought many years ago. However what appears to be a resistor and capacitor adjacent to the top end power supply leads have burnt completely out. Does anyone know anything about the detector, have a schematic (desperate question), or know what the proper replacements are for the two components.
any help welcomed
George

Hi George,
The C400 Deepscan was one of my earlier designs. I may have a schematic somewhere, but, the components that are probably burnt out are a 100uH choke (looks like a resistor)and a 22uF tantalum capacitor. Sometimes the adjacent 555 timer goes too. The problem is usually the result of a power supply short or the battery being connected the wrong way round. Can you email a picture of the board indicating the U/S components? I can then definitely identify them.
Eric.
