General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

cable cutt Compadre

Ok, here's the deal. I have a 6mnth old T,Compadre. I cutt the cable to try and of corse swap Coils and well. as my luck would have it. The Cibola coil. Obviously wont match up as far as the wires go. So. In the mean time. Trying to put the cable wires back together . to the 5.75'' coil. each color to each color. Now i can't get the compadre to work?


So. Obviously I'll let someone else who has done this before and knows . what the heck there doing. have it for cheap. That can fix the cable issue and be back in business.

Can post pictures of what you did to it? Would be good to know if your working on the cable on the outside of the box or on the inside on the board?

I'm wondering if you cut the cable with the battery still in the box ? ......If so , I wonder if you didn't fry the board ? ........Not sure this would happen , but your original 5.75" coil that came off of the Compadre should still work if you match up the wires .....Jim

Thanks for the info. I've added this info to my bookmarks for future reference. I still havent fooled with. Its still setting here. I'll consider a trade as well. I'm always looking for pinpointers, or treasure hunting dvd's.
 
Traded. ) Cable cut compadre, Works just fine. after I messed with it a little more. I wasnt making connection properly. So I am resting easy knowing it works and I'm not letting it go..nonfunctional.
