[attachment 15786 jan06bracelet01.jpg]In spite of a few days of high surf, no one is finding gold in any quantity. Silver jewelry and silver coins are showing up. I was lucky to stumble across this bracelet at a minus tide line. It's marked 14k, and weighs 28 grams.

Got to love those Beach Hunt's
 I sure do miss them, but I do on occasion spend a few days while I am in the area of the Southern part of California

N of the pier at Santa Monica - found a "gravely" patch at low tide. Also dug 113 pennies (and assorted curtain hooks) that day.

That makes a lot of cents. I told some of our common friends about your posted find and told them that I was sure who you were. When they got home from staying at our house in Phoenix they called me up to say that sure enough they had a voice msg. from you telling about your 28 gram find.

From your mention of other places to hunt, I figured it was you. I'm usually on TheTreasureDepot.com Beaches have been lousy all winter- no surf, except one day now and then... fills in again fast.
