Calling on Beach Max and all other..........

..........water hunters. I'm thinking of taking the jump to an Excalibur 800. But I have a few questions and need some honest answers, please. What is the proper sweep speed for this detector....i'm told by some people that it operates well only at a " snails pace".....is this true??? Also is the iron disc really as good as claimed?? While I like my PI PRO's depth it is just becoming impractical to use with all the iron around. Finally will the Excalibur give me depth near that of my PI PRO??? How close is it depthwise in comparison? I'm on the West Coast and I hunt mainly the dry sand parts of the beach, as well as the wet sand areas but I do not go under water. Is there a hipmount option for this unit that works well?? Thanks to everyone who takes the time to reply!!!!

If your not gonna use it in water, save a ton of money and get the MineLab GT.
