Calrad Headphones

Sven

Well-known member
Since we are on the topic of preferred headphones

I'm using the 15-135 model, they are 8 ohm, Frequency Response: 20-20,000 Hz

The second popular model is the 15-118, they are 32 ohm, same frequency response as above.

Depending upon your detector max volume will be higher depending upon which Calrad model you are using.

I use several different headphones but the Calrads are as good as the much more expensive models that I have bought over the years. They actually sound better than the others on my two Deeptech machines.

if you guys have used a RG-1000 you can really hear the nuances I could tell you on aluminum pull tabs pretty easily plus was the machine that convinced me that these machines had serious potential ..................my comparison would be like plain jane amc hornet with a shoe horned 401 v-8 4spd looks innocent to you hit the gas LOL!

Man, Hornets got no respect. Mine did, when the turbo kicked in on that 232 with an automatic.

yeah I had a 71' matador with a 232 and a 3spd borg warner auto tranny which was odd too no tranny cooler lines and believe it or not still had vacuum wipers LOL!

Now that this thread has been hijacked about AMC's.
I kind of like those Pacers, tons of room, just prone to front end linkage problems.
My boss and friend had one. I'd buy one today.

yeah down here we call them the fish bowl on wheels.........man never knew there was a police version of the pacer LOL!

Also forgot how bad and fast cars rusted back then, especially under the wheel wells and a number of other places.
The pictures on the web reminded me......................guess I won't be looking for one of those classics...LOL.
The 70 and 80's seem just like yesterday, that makes those cars 35+ years old.

so I can re hijack and add a Holden  funny enough Holden Australia bought the V6 Buick motor that has been in production sense 1966 and worked with it for 15 years or so and the thing is bullet proof I been driving this one for 13 years bought it when it was 6 years old gave it a back yard spray job couple years back turned out ok but anyway here is a VS Commodore wagon with the Aussied up Buick motor in it :ausflag:

wonder if I can get another 13 out of it  be a classic by then just heard this year spells the end of the Commodore want to see the new ones race type in V8 Super cars in to YouTube I want one beast cars for sure and if you add Bathurst in your search will see the maddest race track on the planet.
